Black Satin

This Dahlia, procured from Swan Island Dahlia (SDI) in 2022, produces stricking dark red almost black compact formal decorative 4" blooms. She is currently sold out at SDI. Her blooms were quite dramatic in arrangements where the deep red almost black coloration really stands out in the fall bouquets.The plant grows to 60" and spreads so make sure you stake her! We started to wake her up in March here in Mid-Michigan and she produced 3 cuttings and the tuber for established plants in mid-May. We averaged 11 tubers per plant.
