Cornel Series Dahlia Package
The Cornel Series of Dahlia is one of those dahlia families we will always grow at FlowerBird Farm. Anchored by Cornel, this group is all about reliability, beauty, and abundance. They all have the perfectly rounded ball blooms on long, strong stems and they are productive and consistent bloomers over the season. The tubers also store like a dream. I found some in a box a year later, and they were alive and putting out stems.
Cornel is a deep ruby-red originally bred by Dutch hybridizer Cor Geerlings. Over time, natural sports of Cornel expanded the color range, giving us Cornel Bronze in warm copper tones, Ivanetti in deep plum, Isabel in soft lavender, and Caitlin's Joy in Pink to Apricot colors. Grown together, they’re cohesive in the field (They are stunning grown to gether in a row) and they are reliable, colorful and stunning in a vase. I've had Cornel Bronze last 10 days in an arrangement. This is an easy to grow, hardworking collection of dahlia we trust for consistent harvests and beautiful arrangements.
This package includes one of each of these five Cornel varieties: Cornel, Cornel Bronze, Caitlin's Joy, Isabel and Ivanetti. The price is a bargain for these beautiful dahlia.
Product Info
Dormant tubers are stored over winter in vermiculite or pine shavings. We will wake tubers in February–March to check for eyes or early sprouts. Tubers naturally vary in size, shape, and appearance; minor wrinkling or firmness differences are normal. Each dahlia purchased includes one tuber per variety with a viable eye.
Shipping & Pick-Up
Tubers ship within the continental U.S. in late March–early April. On-farm pick-up is available April 11, with early shipping or pick-up options you can select at check-out. Please note shipping delays or damage must be addressed with the carrier directly.
