2026 Dahlia CSA Subscription
Our Dahlia CSA Subscription includes 4 wrapped Dahlia bouquets. These are straight bunches of Dahlia. Each wrapped bouquet includes a coordinated bundle of our most exquisite Dahlia. The Dahlia CSA usually starts in late August to Early September when our Dahlia harvest really takes off. We will harvest and bundle a coordinated color palette of Dahlia. Our flowers are grown here in Mount Pleasant using sustainable and pollinator-friendly agricultural practice.
Subscriptions will be weekly in the heart of Dahlia season. Exact dates will be announced closer to the start date in 2026; we get what we get when Mother Nature decides. We can work with your schedule and availability. If you love Dahlia, this is the CSA for you. We have pick-up locations in St. Johns (Phillips Cider Mill) and Mount Pleasant (Pleasant City Coffee or FlowerBird Farm) and delivery options in the Mount Pleasant area. Contact FlowerBird Farm for delivery inquiries.
How it works
Dahlia bouquets will be available dependent on the weather and availability of flowers. We will work with you to get the freshest flowers in your homes. We understand you may have a week you prefer or a week you may wish to reschedule. We will work with you to get the blooms in your hands at the best times for you (dependent on weather), the season, and shared availability. We know you may have vacation and life plans and there may be a week you are not able to pick-up flowers. We will work with you and plan for getting flowers in your hands when the weather cooperates and we can all make it work. Do note that the Dahlia are highly susceptible to a frost, so any adjustments to the schedule are subject to weather and availability..
This subscription includes four bouquets. Bouquets reflect the dahlia available each week and we cannot guarantee any specific varieties. As a CSA subscriber you are a priority. This truly is a shared dahlia harvest, so if flowers are blooming, we are happy to make you a bouquet that captures our best blooms and the Dahlia abundance.
Dahlia CSA Subscription Policy
1. Subscription Period:
Dahlia CSA Bouquet Subscription program operates on a seasonal basis, with 4 guaranteed bouquets starting late August to Early September. We are happy to be flexible dependent on the bloom timing and availability. Communicate with us if you have special specific needs, planned time away or need accommodations. The bouquets should bring joy…help us to make sure they do!
2. Flower Bouquets:
Subscribers will receive four fresh, locally grown straight dahlia bouquets.
The bouquets will feature a variety of dahlia in a coordinated palette and will represent the best of our dahlia crop. If you prefer specific color themes let us know and we can accommodate if the blooms are available.
3. Pickup/Delivery Options:
Subscribers can choose between pick-up and delivery.
We have pick-up locations at Phillips Cider Mill in St. Johns, Pleasant City Coffee in Mount Pleasant, and at FlowerBird Farm in Mount Pleasant. Days and times will be announced in 2026.
We communicate availability in advance. If you are unable to receive your bouquet and provide 48 hours notice we can move your bouquet to another week. If you can't provide notice you are free to have someone pick-up and enjoy your blooms.
The flowers, once wrapped and ready are fresh and await your pick-up. If you miss your time the blooms just don’t last despite our best efforts and the bouquets will be composted. Bouquets must be picked up within 24 hours of drop off at Pleasant City or Phillips Cider Mill. Pick-up at FlowerBird Farm will be available only at the scheduled times.
Delivery is offered in Mount Pleasant proper for a fee per bouquet and is dependent on location. Times will be arranged. If you are unsure if your location qualifies, reach out to us at FlowerBirdFarm22@gmail.com.
Pickup and delivery will be communicated via text or email.
4. Payment Terms:
Full payment for the entire subscription period is required at the time of sign-up.
We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal and ApplePay.
With a minimum of 48 hours advance notice, we can reschedule your bouquet pick-up or delivery for a different week. Once we harvest and prepare the bouquet, we cannot accommodate cancellations, and no credit will be given for missed bouquets.
5. Membership Transfers:
If you are unable to pick up your bouquet/s the bouquet can be transferred to a designated person (just let us know). Please make sure your designee adheres to the pick-up time and location scheduled.
6. Cancellation Policy:
Refunds are not provided for canceled subscriptions.
In exceptional cases, a pro rata credit for the remaining weeks may be issued if the cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances. In case you had to look up pro rata (I did) it means proportional. So, keep us in the loop, give us notice, and we will work with you. We all need a little grace.
7. Communication:
Subscribers will receive a welcome email with details about the start date, pick-up information, and contact details.
Updates and important information will be communicated through text or email.
When you check out give us the best way to contact you. I find text works really well and is my preferred way to communicate. Email is also good so make sure you provide an email you check regularly. We want to get you the information you need and keep you updated on any changes, scheduling and availability.
8. Additional Flower Availability:
Bouquet subscribers may have the opportunity to purchase additional flowers or specialty bouquets. If you pick-up on the farm, you will see our glorious explosion of flowers. Feel free to have a look. We are happy to make extra bouquets and take requests for flowers in your weekly bouquets. Just let us know and we are happy to help you with your flower requests.
9. Weather and Crop Variability:
Weather conditions and crop availability can impact the timing of the subscription and the specific blooms available during the subscription period. In early spring, the varieties and blooms available are less predictable (but really amazing). Once we have a hard frost the blooms fade fast. We appreciate your understanding if there are variations in the schedule and in the individual bouquets. We do promise to provide the best blooms available for your subscription. Our subscribers are our first priority with all our fresh flowers and during your subscription you will have your selection of our best blooms.
10. Terms and Conditions:
By joining our Flower Bouquet Subscription program, you agree to our terms and conditions.
