Kogane Fubuki
This is a fun and unique dahlia. Blooms have laciniated petals. The 5" blooms are yellow and salmon. The plant is compact at 38". We procured this from Bainbridge Island Dahlia in 2025 and will have a few tubers available for purchase in 2026.
Product Info
During the winter months, dahlia tubers are stored in a dormant state. Depending on the variety, weather conditions, and available storage materials, tubers may be stored in plastic wrap, vermiculite, or pine shavings. Each method is chosen to best protect the tuber through winter and maintain viability. We begin waking our tubers in February and March. This process allows us to confirm the presence of eyes or early sprouts before shipping or on-farm pick-up. Because dahlias wake at their own pace, visible growth may vary by variety and timing. As living plants, tubers naturally vary in size, shape, and appearance. Slight wrinkling or firmness differences are normal and do not affect performance once planted. With proper care, healthy tubers will establish and grow when conditions are right. Our goal is to provide you with strong, viable tubers that are ready to grow and bring beauty to your garden.
Return & Refund Policy
We are a boutique specialty cut flower farm, and we take great care to ship only high-quality dahlia tubers. Every tuber is inspected prior to shipping to ensure it has visible eyes and strong growth potential. Since tubers are living storage stems, some natural variation is expected and may include slight dryness, wrinkling, or softness—these characteristics are a normal part of dormancy. Each variety stores differently over winter and wakes up at its own pace. We will never ship tubers unless we are confident in their viability and the presence of an eye or sprout. That said, if you have any concerns upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of the tuber(s) and packaging. This allows us to assess the issue promptly and fairly. Due to the perishable and living nature of tubers, we do not accept physical returns. Refunds or replacements are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed for issues related to weather, planting conditions, storage after delivery, or delayed communication beyond the 48-hour window. Our tubers and flowers are meant to bring happiness, and we truly want you to be successful. If something doesn’t seem right, reach out—we’re always happy to work with you to resolve concerns in a thoughtful and reasonable way..
Tuber Shipping & Pick-Up.
To protect your dahlias from freezing, tubers ship in late spring. Our regular shipping season begins in late March to early April, depending on the weather, and orders are shipped via USPS. Please note that shipping delays or damage are outside of our control and must be addressed directly with USPS. We also offer on-farm pick-up on April 11. If you’re unable to pick up that day, please select shipping at checkout. Missed pick-ups will be invoiced for shipping and handling, and invoices must be paid within 72 hours to avoid a non-refundable order cancellation. An early shipping option is available for an additional fee; however, early shipments or pick-ups are not guaranteed. Early tubers may not have visible sprouts and will require extra care to encourage growth.
